Our trainers are passionate about producing a network of NMSS providers across Australia who are equipped to give new mums the emotional and practical support they need, rather than bombarding new mums with “better” ideas on parenting and child rearing.
So through our course, as well as learning about taking care of the baby, you will also learn how to follow mum’s lead and her way of doing things, only making suggestions if she asks, and allowing mum to be the decision maker. After all, our goal is to encourage mum to follow her instincts, and to support mum so she feels confident in her mothering role.

Our trainers are very experienced in caring for families with young children. They have all completed university level studies in their fields, and engage in ongoing professional development. They have children of their own and so can relate to the joys and challenges of raising a family.
